Welcome to Devo Marketplace ("Devo", "we", "us"), operated by Devo Technologies. These Terms govern your access to and use of our website, marketplace, and services. By creating an account, browsing, listing, or purchasing, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to transact on Devo. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information during registration and to keep it updated.

Marketplace role

Devo acts as a platform connecting buyers and vendors. We are not a party to transactions between buyers and vendors, except where Devo is the listed vendor of a "Devo Original" product or service. Vendors are solely responsible for their listings, deliverables, and support obligations.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform, including: submitting false or misleading content, infringing intellectual property, attempting to circumvent payment or download controls, scraping or reverse-engineering the service, harassing other users, or violating applicable law.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the platform or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

This Privacy Policy explains how Devo collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our marketplace.

Information we collect

Account data (name, email), profile and vendor information you provide, transaction and order data, communications, and technical data such as device and usage information collected via cookies and analytics.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace, process payments and payouts, deliver products and services, communicate with you, enforce our policies, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing

We share data with vendors (for order fulfillment), payment processors, email and infrastructure providers, and authorities where required by law. We never sell your personal data.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and opt out of marketing communications. To exercise these rights, contact support through your dashboard.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

We want you to be confident buying on Devo. This policy explains when refunds and cancellations apply.

Digital products

Because digital products are delivered and accessible immediately after payment, they are generally non-refundable once downloaded. If a product is materially defective, not as described, or fails to download, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase. Approved refunds are credited to your original payment method.

Services

Service orders may be cancelled before work begins for a full refund. Once a vendor has started work, eligibility depends on the milestone status and the vendor's delivery. If a vendor fails to deliver or substantially misses the agreed scope, you may request a refund through your dashboard within 14 days of the due date.

How to request

Open the order in your dashboard and select "Request refund." Include the reason and any supporting detail. We review requests within 5 business days and notify you of the outcome.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in account suspension.

Vendors are independent businesses that list and sell on Devo. This policy sets the standards we expect.

Onboarding

All vendors must complete the application process and be approved before listing. We may verify identity and the right to sell listed items. Vendors must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts.

Listing standards

Listings must be accurate, original, and free of misleading claims. Vendors may only sell items they own or are licensed to distribute. Prohibited categories include illegal goods, malware, plagiarized work, and items that infringe third-party rights.

Fulfillment

Products must be delivered as described and downloadable immediately after purchase. Services must follow the agreed scope and timeline. Vendors are responsible for customer support for their own listings.

Commission & payouts

Devo retains a 15% commission on each sale. Vendor earnings are credited to a pending balance and become available for payout after the refund window closes, subject to the minimum payout threshold.

Enforcement

Violations may result in listing removal, withheld payouts, account suspension, or permanent ban. We may act without notice where necessary to protect users or the platform.

Eligibility & payment

Buyers must be at least 18 and provide valid payment information. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use the payment method you choose.

Licenses

Digital products are licensed, not sold. The license scope (personal, commercial, extended) is defined on each product page. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense items beyond the granted license.

Downloads

Download links are tied to your account and order. Sharing download access or redistributing files is prohibited and may result in account termination.

Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. We may remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, or irrelevant.

How payments and vendor payouts work on Devo.

Accepted methods

We accept major cards and other methods shown at checkout, processed through our payment partners. All amounts are charged in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless otherwise stated.

Commissions

A 15% marketplace commission is deducted from each sale. The commission is calculated on the item price (excluding taxes) and is retained by Devo.

Vendor payouts

Earnings move from pending to available after the refund window closes. Available balances above the minimum payout threshold may be requested. Payouts are processed to the vendor's registered method, typically within 48 hours of approval.

Taxes

Vendors are responsible for their own tax obligations. Where Devo is required to collect tax (e.g., VAT), it will be added at checkout and remitted accordingly.

Fraud

Suspected fraudulent transactions may be reversed, and related accounts frozen. We cooperate with payment networks and authorities on fraud investigations.

We respect intellectual property and expect our users to do the same.

Ownership

The Devo name, logo, platform design, and original content are owned by Devo Technologies. Vendor and buyer content remains owned by its creators, subject to the licenses granted at sale.

Infringement

Do not list or upload content you do not own or lack rights to. This includes pirated software, copied templates, trademarked assets, and unlicensed third-party material.

Reporting

To report infringing content, contact us with: your contact details, the infringing item URL, and a statement of your ownership and good-faith belief. We will review and act on valid notices, including removing content and suspending repeat infringers.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice. We will restore content where appropriate after review.

Devo uses cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the platform.

What we use

Essential cookies for authentication and cart functionality, preference cookies for settings like theme, and analytics cookies to understand usage and improve the product.

Third parties

Some cookies are set by our analytics and payment partners. These providers may use cookies under their own policies.

Your choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect core functionality such as login and checkout.

The platform and all content are provided "as is" and "as available."

No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Devo disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Third-party content

Vendor listings, deliverables, and external links are provided by third parties. Devo is not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or safety of third-party content.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Devo's liability for any claim arising from the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the relevant transaction. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law

These policies are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Nigeria unless otherwise required by local consumer law.
